Modeling and analyzing power distribution networks is one of the most time-consuming and challenging tasks in power system studies. In analytical software such as DIgSILENT, more than 95% of the total study time is often spent on building and modeling the distribution network due to its vastness, frequent changes, and the diversity of its equipment.
At Data Rasam Niroo Kavosh, we developed Carnikan — a suite of intelligent modules designed to automate network studies, significantly reduce modeling time, and minimize human error.
Convert Module – Automated Network Modeling
The Convert Module automatically models the distribution network by integrating with existing GIS, load, and other enterprise systems used by power distribution companies.
It prepares the data seamlessly for analysis in professional engineering software.
🔹 Result: More than 95% reduction in modeling time and improved accuracy of network representation.
Graphical Load Flow Module
Following the success of the Convert Module, the Graphical Load Flow Module was developed to perform load flow calculations automatically and visualize the results interactively.
No expertise in GIS or analytical software is required — users can simply run the module and view graphical load flow results.

Kavosh Module – Voltage and Power Factor Monitoring
In response to the national Chavosh Project initiated by Tavanir, our technical team created the Kavosh Module to monitor voltage and power factor across distribution networks.
Using real measurement data from smart meters, it enables precise voltage and power quality monitoring while fully complying with national project requirements.
Automated Loading Module (Load Studies)
Before this module, transformer loading measurements were performed manually and only twice a year.
With the Automated Loading Module, data from systems such as Billing, Faham, GIS, and others are automatically analyzed to calculate hourly load profiles for each transformer and feeder (up to 8,760 data points per year).
🔹 Result: Eliminates field visits, reduces costs, and provides continuous, high-resolution load data.
Optimal Power Supply Routing Module
This module automatically analyzes the most efficient power supply routes for large consumers based on their geographic location and network conditions.
